Energy-10
www.nrel.gov/buildings/energy10.html
Energy-10 is an energy analysis tool for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings with one or two thermal zones of a maximimum of 10,000 square feet. Intended for use in pre-design, this is a quick and easy way for architects and engineers to consider the energy impact of different design elements before a large amount of time has been invested in design development. Initial analysis can be performed with as few as four inputs, including project location, building area, usage, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) system type, and utility rates. Virtually all inputs are defaulted, but modifiable as the design evolves.
System Analyzer

System Analyzer is designed for easy analysis of the energy and economic impact of various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) design strategies. This software is designed with defaults which can be modified, depending on the level of detail.
