2024 CBES - Training Series

This training series is hosted by Efficient Vermont and presented by our Energy Consultants specializing in building science and energy efficiency. Webinars are 60 to 90 minutes in length to provide time for content review and allow for questions from attendees.

These webinars will be held monthly on the last Wednesday of the month January through June 2024. Recordings of the webinars will be available on our Energy Code Support webpage following the training. You can find links to on-demand recordings here: https://www.efficiencyvermont.com/trade-partners/energy-code-support Upon request we can provide participants with Certificates of Attendance for any of the webinars they have attended. We will do our best to secure AIA LU and HSW credit approval for each session. However, we cannot guarantee all trainings sessions will receive AIA approval.

The webinar series will present the 2024 Vermont Commercial Building Energy Standards (CBES) in the following order:

• January - 2024 CBES Overview – Substantial changes from 2020 (90min)
• February - Compliance options – Prescriptive Packages, and COMcheck (60min)
• March - Multifamily Buildings (90min)
• April - Additional efficiency package options table (60min)
• May - Electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and domestic hot water (90min)
• June - CBES compliant building shell and air barrier design (60min)
